If you have always dreamt of being a Dota 2 pro player then there are certain things that you need to take care of. Some of the professionals have played more than 6000 Dota 2 games, so a lot of knowledge and skills come with practice.

Don’t lose your cool!
It happens with everyone! We all have bad days and when you see that the game is going towards the wrong way and enemy team is tough to crack, it’s normal to start panicking. However, you will not find a Dota 2 Pro losing his cool ever. They don’t panic and this is how they allow their mind to devise the right strategies for the game. When they see that one of the strategies have failed, they quickly move to the next one and try something new that catches enemies off guard.
Never lose hope
No matter how the game goes, never lose hope because the tables can turn at any time. Come backs are for real. So keep your hope alive and don’t give up until your ancient is destroyed.
A good team always has a good game
In most cases you will have members that have same skill level as you. Your enemies will also have almost the same set of skills to make a good game. It’s very rare that you are matched with members that have a lot of skill differences. A good team with members with similar skill levels can deliver a good game. If your team sucks then you will also not be good because this is all about team effort.
Define your role and then play
This is perhaps the most important character of a professional player. Please remember that not everyone can carry or play support with the best of their capacity. So make sure you play the role that you are really good at. If someone claims that he is good at both support and carry, this means he is actually good at none.
If you are interested in playing the game aggressively then you may play nukers or tanks to get a solo kill. If you are interested in farming then make sure you pick a hard carry. If you would not like to farm and simply want to chill around then go for the support role.
So, if you really want to be a pro player, identify your kills and choose your role accordingly.
